Always will be there. Acrylic paint on Canvas board. 2017 My Dad, a former marine, is a great man. I have always looked up to him in a way that a daughter could understand. For my idea for this piece was to honor him in a way. I am no Picasso at painting faces what so ever, but i wanted to try and see if i could make it look as close as i can to him. He is proud that I have tried. After thinking of honoring him i needed to think of what other image I could tell people. He always liked puzzles and he always did puzzles with me. This piece can speak a lot to people. For me, it just reminds me of when i was little. For other people, when they look at it, they might think a child has left their puzzle on a picture of a marine. Perhaps, it was their father who fought, or many more ideas.
