Cup Full. Porcelain Clay with Glaze. 2019 As I made this piece I incorporated my love for leaves and make the cup have a 3-D effect with the leaves. I slashed little lines in the cup to give the cup some texture and a worn type of look to the piece. Instead of making the cup have a plain and common handle, I decided to give the cup a unique handle for it to stand out .
Staying Beautiful. Linocut. 2018.  For my piece Staying Beautiful, I challenged myself to create something out of my comfort zone. I wanted to take a risk and do a linocut print with one of my dawnings in my sketchbook. I wanted to communicate simplicity and just a reminder of the little beautiful things in life.
The Pawful Truth. Mixed Media. 2019 Once again, I have created an art piece of my cat, Jasper. I painted him first with a spatula to give him a texture. Then, I turned the canvas upside down and painted detail of my cat. I don't have an explanation for why I putting the newspaper around the cat, I had a different idea in my head before I started to paint.
My Personality.  Mixed Media. 2019 I wanted to take a risk for this piece and try doing abstract art. The usual type of art I make is planned out or I go off of a picture. I decided for this piece to just to mixed color and just go with what my mind tells me to do. I wasn't planning on this piece to resemble fire but it end up looking like fire. I also wanted to try abstract art since I never do anything abstract in past art pieces.

Gray Clouds Trace the Sky

Gray Clouds Trace The Sky. Pencil Drawing. 2018 For this piece, I wanted to try and challenge myself to draw a self-portrait. The picture was taken at Waconda Lake by the shore. I have never been to the lake before my boyfriend decided to take me. We were walking by the side of the lake and he decided to take pictures of me. The drawing signifies stepping out of my comfort zone. I am not an outdoorsy type of person and for me to like being outside is a big accomplishment. The name of my drawing actually has my boyfriends name and middle name in it if you can figure it out!

Linocut Print 2017

For this piece I wanted to challenge myself. It had token me several hours at school and several hours at home to create the image I wanted. I carved the linoleum around my pencil lines so had the mirror image that I wanted. By making this piece, I learned how to ink the plate up and use different techniques to create my image.

Sketchbook Eyes

I had sketched twelve eyes from pictures people had sent me. I enjoy creating each individual eye because each one had character. I preferred to draw the left eye of a person because i am right handed and it was much easier to get the proportions correct
