My Personality. Mixed Media. 2019

I wanted to take a risk for this piece and try doing abstract art. The usual type of art I make is planned out or I go off of a picture. I decided for this piece to just to mixed color and just go with what my mind tells me to do. I wasn't planning on this piece to resemble fire but it end up looking like fire. I also wanted to try abstract art since I never do anything abstract in past art pieces.

Cup Full. Porcelain Clay with Glaze. 2019 As I made this piece I incorporated my love for leaves and make the cup have a 3-D effect with the leaves. I slashed little lines in the cup to give the cup some texture and a worn type of look to the piece. Instead of making the cup have a plain and common handle, I decided to give the cup a unique handle for it to stand out .

Staying Beautiful. Linocut. 2018.  For my piece Staying Beautiful, I challenged myself to create something out of my comfort zone. I wanted to take a risk and do a linocut print with one of my dawnings in my sketchbook. I wanted to communicate simplicity and just a reminder of the little beautiful things in life.
